  • For 2024, the Northampton County Elections Office will be accepting nomination petitions.

    The FIRST DAY for candidates to circulate and file petitions is 

    JANUARY 23, 2024

    The LAST DAY for candidates to circulate and file petitions is 

    FEBRUARY 13, 2024

    BEFORE COPYING THE NOMINATION PETITIONS, PLEASE NOTE: NOMINATION PETITIONS MUST BE COPIED AS DUPLEX (TWO-SIDED, FRONT AND BACK, HEAD TO HEAD) ON PLAIN WHITE 8 1/2" X 11” (LETTER SIZE) PAPER. THIS REQUIREMENT CANNOT BE SATISFIED BY PRINTING EACH SIDE OF THE DUPLEX NOMINATION PETITION ON A SEPARATE SHEET OF 8 1/2" x 11” PAPER AND AFFIXING THE TWO SHEETS TOGETHER WITH A STAPLE OR PAPER CLIP.

    FAILURE TO REPRODUCE THE NOMINATION PETITION FORMS CORRECTLY WILL RESULT IN THE REJECTION OF THOSE FORMS!

    PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED FOR THE NOMINATION PETITIONS PRIOR TO CIRCULATION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR ARE UNSURE WHETHER YOU HAVE CORRECTLY REPRODUCED ANY OF THE FORMS, PLEASE CONTACT THE NORTHAMPTON COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE AT 610-829-6260.

    NOTE:  If the office the candidate is seeking allows the candidate to cross-file (ONLY School Board & MDJ) with both the Democratic and Republican parties, and the candidate chooses to cross-file with both the Democratic and Republican parties, a separate Petition must be filed for each party.

    NOTE:  If the office the candidate is seeking allows the candidate to cross-file (ONLY School Board & MDJ) with both the Democratic and Republican parties, and the candidate chooses to cross-file with both the Democratic and Republican parties, a Candidate Affidavit must be filed with EACH set of nomination petitions: one with the Democratic petitions and one with the Republican petitions.

    PROXY FORMS:

    If you, as a Candidate, cannot attend the casting of lots (November 24, 2023 @12:00, Northampton County Gov't Center, Elections Division Office on the Lower Level), and wish to designate an agent to represent you, please fill out the Affidavit for Proxy (must be notarized) and submit BEFORE, November 24, 2023. If you are unable to get the Affidavit notarized, please fill out the Unsworn Declaration, as well, and submit BOTH forms BEFORE, November 24, 2023.

    WRITE-IN CANDIDATE DECLARATION

    Fill-out this Write in Form to indicate how you (as a candidate) would like to accumulate votes under different variations of your name. (We WILL NOT accumulate just a first or last name, first initial and last name, or anything that does not CLEARLY indicate who the vote should be for).

    EXAMPLE OF ACCEPTABLE VARIATIONS ON A NAME: Jonathan Doe, John Doe, Jon Doe, Jon A Doe, etc.
